I wanted to let everyone know we have been reading emails, but have not been able to respond to emails. There's honestly THAT many emails..
If you wanted to be on the waitlist, then you're likely on the waitlist but we just hadn't replied. Our waitlist for puppies is zero charge and commitment-free; we are only asking for deposits once a puppy is born/to reserve a spot in a born litter. The reason for this is specifically because so many people want merles and only merles, and there's no way we can promise merles to everyone.
Right now, if a question is on the site or googled, we will not be responding. It's nothing personal, it's just we get a lot of the same questions and we simply cannot answer everyone individually.. Usually I, Brittany, like to do so but COVID-19 has very much put us all in an unusual position right now. COVID-19 has sent about 3x the normal emails our way!
When the next litter is born, all accepted to the waitlist will be sent an email. If you did not get one, you are welcome to email us again, as the most often reason someone is not added to the waitlist is too specific of a need for a dream puppy and you're welcome to let us know if your dream dog has changed!
You are welcome to send us information about yourself in your initial email, or after we give us that information after the puppies are born. We've been very lucky to have primarily people with perfect lives for a mini aussie, but occasionally we will turn someone away if we feel their life would be incompatible with this breed. Honestly, the most common reason for this is that aussies love to be around their person and some folks would clearly benefit from a more independent dog breed. Believe me and anyone else who tells you: it's for your benefit as much as the dogs to choose a breed most compatible with your lifestyle.
(Make sure to research dog breeds before getting a dog! Dogtime.com & Dogbreedinfo.com are both amazing sites to start that research!)
From there, we will discuss deposits and picking order.
I will add also: I do my best not to make getting a puppy a race. If (when we have puppies available) we are talking about you getting a pup, then we will not swoop out from underneath you and give the picking order spot/puppy to someone else. We want to encourage people to think things over and discuss with their families what the right move for them is.
I will add that currently:
1. We do not have any puppies available to go home right now.
2. We are still very much hoping for Resi to give birth around the 31st/early June! We are expecting black tris & blue merles with, very likely, brown eyes only.
I ended up really rambling here. Thank you for reading..!
I hope all you folks are still able to enjoy your sunny spring days!
